The titanium dioxide pigment was discovered in 1821 but it was not until 1921 that a titanium white oil colour suitable for artistic purposes was introduced by an American manufacturer.

Must be used with Linseed Oil as primary medium
Can be used in impasto, glaze and wash techniques
